Books for Brews – August 28th, 2-5 pm

Books for Brews, our annual book drive hosted by One Book One New Orleans, will take place Sunday, August 28, from 2:00-5:00pm at Faubourg Brewing Company. This year we are collecting:

  • paperback suspense/thriller fiction in English, and
  • foreign language paperbacks.

The English-language books will be sent to incarcerated people across the gulf coast; the foreign language books will go to start a prison library at the ICE facility at Winn Correctional Center.

Simply bring these paperback books–in good condition, please!–to Faubourg and exchange them for tickets for FREE BEER. One ticket per two books, with a limit of three tickets per person.

GiveNOLA Day is a 24-hour, online giving event. All donations to Louisiana Books 2 Prisoners made through the GiveNOLA website will be matched by the Greater New Orleans Foundation and give us the chance to earn lagniappe dollars, awards, and hourly prizes. Thanks to all of our supporters and the GNO Foundation, B2P received over $1000 last year from GiveNOLA Day!
