Happy Independent Bookstore Day!
To celebrate Independent Bookstore Day, purchase a book for us through our wishlist with Tubby & Coo’s, and a donor will match every penny, April 27th through May 14th! Your support will help us stock our library with frequently requested titles, support our local bookseller, and receive matching funds that will help cover postage… and more books!
We have just added more books to our wishlist! It now features more books on legal topics, queer issues, self-help, yoga, witchcraft, drawing, chess, and crochet! These are very popular categories that we never really have enough of.

Join One Book One New Orleans and Louisiana Books 2 Prisoners for a conversation about social justice, literacy, activism, and more. Mac Marquis, author of Books Through Bars: Stories from the Prison Books Movement and Victoria Law, author “Prisons Make Us Safer” and Twenty Other Myths About Mass Incarceration, will discuss their books and their justice-focused work. Guests will also hear from Louisiana Books 2 Prisoners and One Book One New Orleans about our efforts at the local level.
There will be snacks.

Our other computer needs are met; we just need this specific one to replace our old one which is having issues running new software. Please message or email us if you are interested in donating one to us! Thank you.

Books for Brews is tomorrow!
We’re partnering with One Book One New Orleans to collect PAPERBACK history books, biographies, and memoirs, in new or gently used condition. Bring books to Faubourg Beer on Aug 26, 2-5:pm to exchange them for FREE BEER! You will receive one beer ticket (4 max) for every book you bring. There are also non-beer treats like ice cream.
