The Book Fair is at Gasa Gasa this year! The address is 4920 Freret Street, New Orleans, LA. Hours are 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. We will be there unloading some of the many hardbacks that we can’t send to prisons. Take them off our hands! Sliding scale donations accepted. It’s a really good selection this year– we already got rid of all the books that looked boring.

We also have brand new t-shirts designed by Hugo Girl and printed by us! They look great.

Come check out the independent writers, printers, and publishers and also come say hi to us! There will be books, magazines, letterpress stuff, posters, and probably food.

We just don’t have enough collective members to run our worknights. Let us know if you’d like to join the collective and help us keep the organization running.

We will be at the 16th annual New Orleans Book Fair tomorrow with patches and books for you! Come say hi!

Books 2 Prisoners will NOT be having a worknight on Christmas, December 25th. We will be back as usual on January 1st.

To ring in the new year, we are having a pizza party at our usual workspace on Sunday, January 8, from noon to 7 p.m. We will be getting caught up on our backlog of inmate letters and welcoming new (and old!) volunteers. If you’ve been interested in LAB2P, come stop by, say hi, and learn about what we’re about and how you can help out!

Nothing really to report… everything is business as usual at Louisiana Books 2 Prisoners. We are still accepting donations and new volunteers and we are still meeting every Sunday to pack books for prisoners. All our contact information is up-to-date, both our mailing address and physical address are listed correctly, and everything on this entire website is 100% current.
